Causes of Indentation on Spandex Fabrics
In order to improve the running performance during spinning, spandex uses silicone oil lubricants and other additives in the weaving process. These additives will naturally degrade over time, causing the fibers to yellow and the elasticity of the fabric to decrease. At the same time, spandex-containing fabrics will form a "cold set" during long-term storage, causing the fabric to produce permanent wrinkles that cannot be eliminated in post-processing. Therefore, in addition to reducing the storage time of the spandex-containing knitted fabric, it is more important to open the package immediately after weaving and flatten the package to avoid the opportunity of creasing.
